Chassis design of trailer is done by our students under the guidance of experts from industry. Design includes king pin design, Main Members (I section), End Members (C section) and Cross Members(l section). Pro/Engineer is used to model the chassis.
FEA of Trailer Axle

Axle design is import design in the trailer as it is check by RTO for safety reason. FEA softwares will help you for finding out stress levels in the axle as shown in the figure left side . Axle diameter can be optimize by using optimization technique as shown in figure right side
